SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER – HVAC
ALMOAYYED Air Conditioning, Bahrain is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer – HVAC to oversee the technical execution of HVAC projects across Bahrain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review and analyze tender documents, IFC drawings, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) at project initiation.
2. Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones.
3. Allocate engineering resources efficiently to support project execution.
4. Prepare HVAC shop drawings and material submittals in accordance with project specifications.
5. Obtain consultant approvals for drawings, submittals, and method statements.
6. Conduct technical selection of HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, fans).
7. Prepare technical and commercial comparisons of supplier quotations.
8. Perform HVAC calculations including heat load, external static pressure, pump head, and staircase pressurization.
9. Oversee HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning in compliance with industry standards.
10. Prepare and review method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and risk assessments.
11. Ensure adherence to project quality plans and manpower budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
2. Total 15 years’ experience out of which Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HVAC project engineering, preferably in contracting firms in Bahrain or GCC.
3. Strong HVAC design, installation, and commissioning knowledge, Proficiency in AutoCAD, HVAC software tools, MS Office, & knowledge of local authority approvals processes in Bahrain.
4. Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to ensure smooth project execution.
5. Raise RFIs, inspection requests, and other documentation for consultant approvals.
6. Prepare and manage project variations, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
7. Submit progress payment applications and follow up on collections according to approved certificates.
8. Complete as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
9. Utilize HVAC software tools such as HAP, Duct/Pipe Sizer, and Psychrometric Chart Analyzer.
10. Proficiency in MS Office for project reporting and documentation.
11. Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and best engineering practices.
12. Hold a valid professional license from CRPEP, Bahrain.
13. Liaise effectively with contractors, clients, consultants, and project managers.
14. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills for smooth project delivery.
